About

Mission

Our mission at Troop 228 is to build future leaders of community and country through fostering leadership, developing character, and promoting citizenship. We strive to instill in our scouts the values of self-discipline, respect for others, and an appreciation for the outdoors. Our goal is to help our scouts become responsible, independent young adults who can make informed decisions, serve the community, and become productive members of society. We strive to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every scout can reach their full potential.

Here at Troop 228, we are a Scout Led Troop who embrace the experience of learning, sometimes even through failure. We want scouts to learn and experience the highs and lows of leadership and responsibilities. Scouts gain experience for life in a safe environment through age appropriate leadership roles.
